The American Rally Association (ARA) is partnering with Backroads of Appalachia to create a national training hub for rally officials in Booneville, Kentucky. This new Rally Training Center will be located on a 200+ acre site adjacent to the Daniel Boone National Forest and will feature a 1.4-mile off-road course and a 60,000 sq. ft. facility with shop bays, classrooms, and more.
Funded in part by a $7.4 million ARISE grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission, this development is part of the broader Appalachian Overland Triangle initiative, aimed at revitalizing rural economies in Kentucky, West Virginia, and Ohio through motorsports and adventure tourism.
The training center will serve as a base for cultivating a skilled workforce to support ARA’s growing national presence while helping to map and prepare local roads for competitive rally use. With its mix of natural terrain and strong community support, the region is being positioned as a national destination for grassroots motorsports and rural economic renewal.
